What a portfolio tracker should actually tell you
Most broker apps answer one question: what is this account worth right now. That is useful, and it is nowhere near enough if you hold shares in more than one place or invest for income.
A portfolio tracker should answer four questions at once, what everything is worth together, how it is allocated, how it has performed against a sensible benchmark, and what income it produces. Investing Dividend Tracker is built around those four answers rather than a single account balance.
What you get
- Consolidated valuation · every holding you add, whatever broker it sits with, converted to one currency at current FX rates.
- Allocation insight · weight by ticker, sector and region, with concentration flagged before it becomes a problem.
- Benchmark comparison · your portfolio against the S&P 500, Nasdaq Composite, FTSE 100 or a global tracker over 1, 3, 5 and 10 years.
- Income layer · forward twelve-month dividend forecast, yield-on-cost, and a calendar of upcoming ex-dates and pay-dates.
- Company detail · click any ticker for price history, financials, payout ratio and up to ten years of dividend history.
No broker connection, by design
We do not ask for broker logins, open banking access or read-only API keys. You enter tickers and share counts, and we attach public market data to them. That keeps the security surface small: there are no credentials of yours for anyone to steal. See how we handle your data and where our market data comes from.
Getting started
- Create a free account, no credit card.
- Add your holdings by ticker and share count, wherever you hold them.
- Pick your home currency and your benchmark.
- Open the dividend calendar to see what is paying next.
Frequently asked questions
Is the portfolio tracker free?
Yes. You can track unlimited holdings for free. Pro adds AI insights, benchmark comparison, the backtester, dividend safety scores and ex-date alerts.
Can I track holdings I hold at different brokers?
Yes. Add holdings from any broker and view them together in one portfolio. Holdings are not currently split into separate broker or account containers, they form a single combined portfolio, and each holding stays individually editable.
Do I have to connect my broker?
No, and you can't. There is no broker or bank connection: you add tickers and share counts yourself. That means we never hold your broker credentials.
Which currency does the tracker use?
You choose a home currency. Every holding, dividend and total is converted at current FX rates, so US, UK, European and other listings roll up into one consistent number.
How is this different from a dividend tracker?
It is both. The portfolio side tracks value, allocation and performance against benchmarks; the dividend side tracks payouts, ex-dates and forward income. They share one set of holdings.
